I've got a '65 F-100 custom cab with a sweephand speedo in it. Does any one have any idea where I can purchase the silver swirly stuff on the dash? I'd like to freshen it up. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

 

The closest thing I've found was from a sign shop. It comes in gold and silver. The smallest quantity I could get was about $79.00. 6'x 15" ( I haven't done it yet) They sent me a sample and it looks pretty darn good! It's called "Engine Turned Silver"

Yikes!!! That's some high buck stuff. I think I'll look in my area, unless someone else here has good idea. Now that I see what it is 3M headquarters isn't all that far from me. I'm a rescent member here and so far I think it's great!!!

I had mine rechromed and it looks better than new. It's been several years since I had it done so I have forgotten who did it but it sure looks good. I think they were in Minnesota or somewhere up north.

 

The reason I even knew about that stuff, was I was looking to do my 63 Galaxie's dash trim with it. Kinda like the old T-Birds, GTO's and etc. I know it's kinda high, but it was still cheaper than a local sign shop. For no more then you'd need I can see what you mean about cost. Good luck,
