i think my truck has a rough idle....if it does what does this mean and is it bad. I recently cut the exhaust right befor the muffler, im waiting to finish it to be a full strait pipe. But could that have something to do with it
Does it idle rough, or does it just sound like a miss?
Since I straight piped mine, it sounds like its chugging at idle, it's not missing. But it almost sounds that way.
I read somewhere on here that straight exhaust will give your truck the "miss at idle" sound
Just a thought...
I agree that since I straight-piped my truck it idles a little rough. I am glad to see I'm not the only one, but I am considering a Walker BTM in hope that it will smooth it out. I recently did the FRx and HPx and could tell a difference in the sound of the motor, but with the straight-pipe I still feel this so-call "miss."
My dually with the straight pipe does the same thing. Sounds like a miss when your back near the exhaust but it runs great has made that sound since the first day I straight piped it. If someone wanted to add a muffler back in I have a 4" that was used for 2 days before I got the straight pipe finished.
its hard to explain.....when im driving 5-15mph then let off...as im slowing down its almost like a "chugg chug chug" its not very noticeable and it doesnt do it all the time...i think im just freaking my self out...the truck runs great hah
ok cool...ya thats what i thought but just wanted to make sure! ya im going to finish it out the side i think....put a 6 inch slash cut tip on there too....should sound great!!
