The set I can get my hands on for free are a bit corroded so Im going to have them blasted and powder coated. May do a light bronze.

Made a 120 mile roundtrip today in the EX. Most of the trip was on flat roads except for a small mountain pass crossing. I was impressed with the lie-o-meter. At one point, it did go up to 30 Eventually settled in for 22.9 for most of the trip. The best number I've seen before this was 19.5. I did not do a hand calc.

Finally had a chance to work on the Ex today. Replaced the rusted out rear brake lines. Seems the front lines were replaced by the previous owner as they look about new. I went with the PVC coated steel lines and bent and flared them myself. I replaced the 3 rear rubber sections as well, bled it and went for a drive.

I still can't get the front wheels off for the life of me. I tried an 8 lb sledge today and wacked it until my shoulder started acting up. I also tried driving it about 2 miles with the lug nuts backed off a little and they wouldn't budge. Guess I'm going to have to bring it to a shop just for the front brake pads, it's not worth busting my shoulder again.

PowerStop Z36 front brakes, Replaced the cluster lights with LEDs, Installed my Pioneer AVH-2550NEX, one running board light (would/ve been two, but the 2nd was FULL of mud),

THEN, I pulled my hair out over the mic for my headunit not working, and my constant electrical gremlins.

That should look nice. Ours had corrosion also. Clyde has a machine for sanding and polishing, so I took them to him. Blasting should work good with the powder coat.

I had some really stubborn front wheels on my old f-350 that I couldn't budge no matter what. No amount of pounding would work. I had an old mechanic tell me to jack up the front end and put the axle on jack stands then wedge a bottle jack between the leaf spring and the wheel with a block of wood to protect the wheel then start the truck and use the power steering to push the wheel off. It worked first try.

Not much beats a lifted Ex and a pretty sunset

VLED 194 5000K 14-LED

Installed in my running boards

VLED Festoons for 2nd row/cargo map/dome lights

Installed everywhere but the DVD screen

VLED V6 Triton reverse light

Comparison between VLED V6 Triton and factory

Both bulbs installed

It's like having a pair of RIGIDs D4s back there. These were my favorite upgrade today by far.

That will look either really good or really horrid depending on how closely you can match the accent color on your 2-tone...

Your instruments look bright and clear. Did you change your instrument bulbs, if so, what did you use?
I’ve been complaining about dark spots and dim areas for a long time. I tried some LED’s with no great improvement.

Yeah, someone else suggested a bottle jack against the frame rail. I gue5 that the only option left, I hope I don't bend a wheel.

I changed my instrument cluster bulbs to LED's on my last Excursion with less than stellar results. The problem is the instrument cluster needs light emitting from the side of the bulb 360 deg. Most led's that I have found have the led's pointing towards the back and not the sides. Those that do point to the sides are opposing each other so you don't get a full illumination of 360 degrees.
If anyone has had better luck, I'd love to know about them. I believe the sizes are T-5's (192's) and one or two are T-10's if memory serves? Someone correct me please....
