Grill swap...Is this a sin?

I saw this at the open horse show at our county fair. Raised my eyebrow. I kinda like it because it's the only one I've seen. Better part of the truck.

Sterling??? I thought that was a big truck Ford product. We had Sterling 5 or 6 story boom trucks when I delivered lumber and housing material. Thats definetly a aftermarket custom thingy, I think..

I dunno if it was a custom chop job to a stock Dodge grill or if the Sterling grill fit that well. Yep, Sterling is the big truck line of Ford. That's why I had mixed fellings on it. Cool idea, but on a Dodge? Too bad.

Sterlings came from Dodge for a bit.
Same truck with a Sterling grille.
Mostly 1 ton flatdecks Ive seen.
Theres a few of them around here.
Western star carried Sterling for a bit before they quit making them.
Thats the right grill for that truck.

The heavy Fords were bought out by Freightliner in the '90s and named Sterling
Freightliner is somewhat part of Chrysler Corp as it is owned by Daimler-Benz
Some of the Ford dealers sell Sterling Trucks

It's a popular upgrade for the Dodge truck guys, just like
some Ford Superduty guys swap to the Excursion grill...

Years ago, when I was into personalizing my Lightning, I saw the Sterling front grille emblem on the Sterling dump trucks at the local Ford Truck dealership. Since it was the closest thing to a Superman "S" I'd ever seen, I of course had to have it!

Stu that looks a WHOLE LOT better than what they did to that Dodge.
The Dodge screams "poser" to me.

I have never seen one like this before. Dealer lot or otherwise. Sterling went from being a big ford to a Dodge pu? I'll have to keep a closer eye around town and the dealers.

Thats funny how things are so regional. In Colorado, there were Dodge dealers with 100+ on the lot for sale...

Good grief... someone took an already ugly Dodge and made it even uglier.
