AC HELP

AC HELP

My AC blows cold just not real hard checked freon good pressure. Must turn on high to stay remotely cool. Any thing else to check? Oh yea checked ac clutch seems to be working good

Check to see that the heater control valve on the heater hose is fully closing. Common problem.

Make sure you have a chean condensor and radiator. If you far or drive through fields this can be a common problem

On my truck the vac line to the above mentioned valve was off. Reconnecting that really improved things on max AC when it closes, I get ice cream headaches it's so cold. The nice thing too is you can check its operation externally.

I had the same issue. 134a levels were good but it would not blow cold air. After trouble shooting it with 69cj, I found the orifus tube was clogged. That was 3-4 weeks ago and it still works great.

Never mind, just reread your post sound like we had different issues.

I throwing this out there, but not sure if Fords use a cabin filter. When they get clogged things don't work right either, close to the symptom you are having. I'm sure someone will chime in and say whether or not it has a cabin filter.
