The reason you could not identify the seats is they are bostroms only available for 64. 65 rangers used mustang and the 63 XL used falcon sprint. The truck was purchased from the original owner. The truck was purchased as a dump hauler and had the buckets and console when it was acquired by the current owner. The truck was only restored after the advent of places like FTE and (Shudder) Slick60s and it became apparent the the truck was some what special in just what was in it. The Data plate is new and i was not aware of that when i first busted your ***** about it. Yes it is not a true ranger but it did have the factory sport package that is advertised in fords sales brochures and bulletins.

That is the truth between the leaves as seen through the trees to find the forest.
You can type all this jazz you want to, but you cannot get around the fact that the owner admitted to Don (camperspecial65) and myself and within earshot of Karl Kurtz and Tom Yonkatis that he had it made up!

Now my question is, who made it up for him? I dunno, he didn't say...but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it was....

I think my 66 has a rare option or two. The VERY early production 460 engine and of course don't forget the CD player.

Yada, yada, yada, say what you want. I've still got the only 17000 lb GVW F100 in existance.

I just don't have a spare tire rack for it.

B7C1433A .. Spare Tire Carrier / Obsolete

Fits: 1957/79 F100 & 1975/79 F150 Flareside w/Left Side Mounted Spare.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS has ONE = 704-786-8139.

Now...all you need is the left rear fender w/the cutout (B7C16313B), or...do you already have it?

Bill, not only do I already have the fender, it's already painted:

That and the fact that it shows signs of being original to the truck(same Cal-Trans orange on the underside as the rest of the truck shows in all the spots that normally don't get touched on a cheapo re-paint)are the only reasons I haven't been able to talk the wife into just swapping out the fender.
Thanks for the number, I'll check 'em out tomorrow. I'd guess they aren't gonna get a bunch of calls on this part. Probably won't be real cheap, either.

what is the wheelbase of the truck ??? All 64 4WD were on 120" wheelbase and used the 57-60 style of bed...anything else and the bed has been swapped or the truck was converted to 4WD by a PO...F11= 4WD F100 and F26= F50 4WD...the warranty plate is located on the left door rear latch face. The wheelbase is also listed on the warranty plate...

The first three digits of the VIN is the SERIES code: F11 = F100 4WD and F26 = F250 4WD.

The warranty plate is located on the left door rear latch face. The wheelbase is also listed on the warranty plate.
Fixed it for ya.

given the definition of option being factory installed i'll take a novice guess- a second coat of paint. maybe not very exciting but perhaps rare by definition. my neighbor pete had a 65 or 66 black f250 2wd that he told me he ordered new with a second coat of paint. he is long dead and that was 35 yrs ago in the middle of a hay field and i was tired as heII so i don't remember the conversation in detail but i got the impression the truck came from the "factory" that way. but maybe the dealers did that sort of thing back then. just a guess for the entertainment value, killing time it's raining outside.

What does second coat of paint refer to? Does it mean the truck was tu-toned? If so, there's nothing rare about a tu-toned truck...unless the code is CM.

C = Pure White & M = Wimbledon White. Why someone would want a tu-toned white truck is beyond me.

If second coat of paint refers to more than one coat of acrylic enamel over the primer, that would not be an option, would only be available as a DSO.

I've never heard of any such thing, but with FoMoCo, one never knows.

Tricky: The factory spotlight isn't rare, these were supplied to Ford by Unity. 1961/66 F100/1100, 1965/69 N/NT500/1000 & 1967/69 F/T800/1000 is the same.

Both right and left sides were available and, both can still be bought...today...from Unity!
