Misfire Problem

I just bought this Bronco with an inline 6 and it runs perfect but it doesn't like low RPM's. It sounds like it's running on only 5 out of the 6 cyl. And when i take the spark plug wires off to listen to it and it doesn't change sound or anything. So what should I do and what's the problem? How come it drives perfect and runs fantastic! HELP!

what year? have you given it a tune up yet? efi or carb? what do you mean by taking the spark plugs out the sound doesnt change? you shouldnt necessarily do that. just unplug the spark plug wire and see if you get any change to find out which cylinder is having the issue. how do the plugs look?

It's an '84. We just got it an changed all the fluids and everything. It's carb, single barrel. I meant unplugged it, but it didn't make a damn difference. But all the oil pressure and everything is fine on it. The plugs are fine, it's not running too fat or lean. It starts right up and runs great. It's just strange that it's running on just 5 cyl.

Pull the coil wire, crank it for about 30 seconds. If all cylinders sound even you don't have a valve problem.
