I've had a power max for almost 2 years , no issues. Its whistle is quite loud. I would recommend tuning. They are the same price as oem, so it makes sense to me.

 

I'm about to take my powermax off. I've got a manual trans and I'm not happy with it. Gillette diesel in Salt Lake City is where I got mine,, n Steve there said he sold another one after mine to put on a manual trans truck,, n the customer came back and got a stocker put on. Mine pops under high boost in high elevations. I would like to hear from someone in higher elevations (over 2000') with a manual. And that tows with it. I like it to just run around home unloaded. I've already done lots of diag to rule out any other issue (ebp, baro, map,vgt, ect). Just giving my input, Everyone loves it with an auto tranny tho.

 

As I shared before Anthony, I think I had the popping last summer in the Cascades. I guess I will be finding out on my return trip next weekend. I'll come back here and let you know. (You know the passes I will be cruising over.) I should be running around 10,000# loaded, and will be using Matt's "Unlimited Tow Tune"
