Problem With Starting, Please Help!
I am having trouble with my 2000 7.3 this morning. I went to start it and it fist made a really loud buzzing noise. Once I got to my destination, and was going to start it again it really made a loud buzzing noise, and for around a minute was trying to start, and finally did. It was maybe 70 out this morning not cold. Just replaced the GPCM and all glow plugs. I am thinking it could be the battery, it runs well for the other times I turned it on, and it’s only occasionally it. Could it be possible that one battery is dead, and the other one is working over time.. or something like that. Any ideas? Thank you!

Clean
Just cleaning the posts and cables and grounds very well is the best starting point. If that doesn't work, remove both batteries and have them load tested. Also, if you have a volt meter, you should read 14 volts or so when the engine is running, if its not, your alternator may be dead.
