Chocked 460

In consideration to improved performance and intake swap. Would there be a reason not to use aftermarket fuel injection? Many street rod friends have been very happy in GTOs and Novas, but have not found C-class rv people doing it yet.

Thanks

Regarding all the posts about getting straight up timing set, I'm not 100% but think the truck engines didn't do the retard gears. Would be something for you to check. I did buy a FI 95 F350 for pulling camper, what a disappointment. Pulled same load with F150 with 5.0 but twice the rpm. Both had the same mpg. Depends on your end use and expectations.

The cam timining on my 1976 F350 supercab, 460/C6, was definitely retarded from the factory. In 1982 I did the straight up timing change done and have never regretted it. With a 4.10 rear, it pulls like a beast. Acceleration, loaded or unloaded didn't seem to make a lot of difference--although I know it did.
