460 BB basics help/tips/tricks?
Hello, I may be aquireing a second truck, it is a 1995 f350 SRW 4x4, reg cab, e4od, 75k miles, I know nothing of Ford gas motors only a little about the 302 and 351, Can you guys tell me some basics about these engines? I'm aware they have bad mpg, are they reliable? about how many miles will the engine last? and any funny quirks that need to be worked out? thanks

My old 460 had a bad head on the drivers side.. no clue on a cause, in my case there were multiple factors lol.
Acetone in engine.. mud and water in engine.. over revving..
That kind of thing.
But i'm not the kind of person to tear it all down and see.. I just pulled a motor out of another truck and dropped it in lol.

okay guys lets hear some more things about this engine, I'm going to shoot for atleast 110k miles out of it, is that stretching things? I'm sure it will tow 5500 lbs well, I want any information you have to share
