I have a bad vibration between 45-60 mph and then again beginning at >68mph. I don't believe its the tires because when I accelerate in these speed ranges, the vibration increases 2 fold. Letting off the gas petal, coasting in these speed ranges, the vibration reduces quite a bit, but I can still feel it. Vibration seems to be coming from the rear of the truck. Any ideas?
I got rid of a perfectly fine otherwise 03 V10 X. Well, that and to get a 7.3X. I did alot to try and fix mine and never did make it better. More info would help about your X. Axle ratio, ujoint condition, etc. My last X had vibrations listed on OASIS from the original owner beginning at 50,000 miles. Ford replaced the driveshaft. I also replaced the driveshaft with a CV shaft, multiple ujoints, indexed driveshaft several times, rebuilt rearend, changed transfer case output bearing, etc. Nothing made it better. My new 01 has zero vibes, but the driveshaft has a factory rubber damper on it. Anyway, give us some more info and we can try and help.
The "search" feature will be a big help.
My Truck is a 2001 7.3L 4x4. I took it out for a drive again and noticed a slight hesitation/clunk noise during acceleration. Could this be a U-Joint problem? If so, what do I look for it a U-Joint's gone bad?
