Welcome to FTE
F100: The rear axle is a 9 inch, but (1968/72), there were two different types available.
F250: The rear axle is a Dana 60.
F350: The rear axle is a Dana 70.
Camper Special or not makes no difference.
If you want to know the ratio, post the AXLE code found on the Warranty Plate, which is located on the left door face below the latch.
Ditto to discover which 9" it has...if an F100.
C6's have a vacuum modulator valve. It threads into the right (passenger) side-towards the rear of the transmission case.
Usually what happens is the short rubber vacuum hose that attaches to it...age cracks, then splits open.
When the modulator valve is removed, it has a short shift rod inside it that will just fall out if you aren't careful.
If that shift rod is missing, the trans won't shift.
thank you for the info i just got the truck trying to make it driveable then restore it to a nice truck i would say it is a good project truck to start with
