Body lift questions

My buddies got a newer f150, a 2001 i think, and has a body lift for it that he got for free. He said he would sell it to me for cheap but i didnt think it would fit mine. As much as i hate body lifts and think that their unsafe, if i could get it for cheap i would be okay with it. Whats the chances of it actually fitting mine? Its probably all the same isnt it? Just plastic spacers? Would the steering shaft extension be the same?

I just put a 3" body lift on my '92 but I would almost guarantee the body lift for the '01 is different. Performance Accessories has two different body lift kits for the two different generation trucks.
