Fluid film

I meant to post this 2 weeks ago but haven’t had time. I applied fluid film to the underside of my truck for the 2nd time. The first being after thankgiving last year. This time around I applied a coat about 3x thicker than the 1st time. Took me about 3 hours from set up to break down. Some advice for those wishing to do this: 1) wear a mask, eye wear, and protective clothing, 2) lay down some thick plastic on your driveway, I regret being cheap and used the thin stuff, it kept ripping, 3) in cold weather you will need some source of heat to keep bottles warm, the fluid film will thicken and you won’t be able to spray. I ended up using my propane burner and a pot of water, 4) Get the flexible wands to spray inside of the frame, and 5) Avoid hitting the exhaust.

Honestly I hated doing this job. It was messy and aggravating. But I have some piece of mind knowing that my truck will be a bit more resistant to rust, especially since I am in the northeast and the chemicals that they use on the roads are so damn harsh. I will probably end up doing this 2x a year moving forward.
