Certainly can understand why seller does not have a reserve, currently at $3,100 wow is the buyer in for a shock.
Although, surprised to see there are 13 bidders, would think one of them would notice the discrepancies. Not sure I would purchase anything from this antique dealer.

Most of these so called antique vehicle dealers don't know diddly about trucks, and most of anything else they sell. They're only in it for the coin.

Quoted from ebay add:
The interior has a new paint job that is white in color. The upholstery was just done last year and is in a striking red color throughout to show what a fast truck this machine is to drive.
I am going to put a red interior in my truck so you all will know my truck is fast too.
The steering column looks like it has a bind on it where it connects to the power steering box.
The dash has not been done like Garbz does to his when doing this type of conversion.
I think it is painted with tractor paint.
The front bumper bolts to the frame like the 65/66. My uni has 6 bolts on the bumper.

2 bolts on the 64 bumper using a riveted on bracket. 61 to 63 are the three bolt.
You need mighty skinny thighs to drive that puppy where the steering column is located.
It is clearly and older type cab and doghouse on a 65 or 66 chassis. The firewall was torched out and the retaining bracket was not used. That column has to have some swing making turns.

When the shift lever is put into Park, the entire steering column can be moved (swung) to the right horizontally about 16 inches, it doesn't have a tilt wheel.
btw: 500XL's, Marauders and S-22's came with a center console and a floor mounted shift lever EXCEPT when the Swing-Away column is present.
When these cars had the Swing-Away column option, the shift lever is on the column.

Sorry Dave, I couldn't resist!

On his sale add they have a spot to see what similar trucks have or have not sold for. I can not believe no one bid on this one in the link below. I would have gladly bought this truck over the one for sale right now.

Another cobbled up pile. So called 1965 has a swapped 302 engine, 1966 Custom Cab grille, painted dog dish hubcaps from a 1966 Standard Cab, 1967/72 Styleside tailgate.
The dash bezel is for a 1961/64 Custom Cab, 1965/66: 4WD CC, F350/1100 CC. If the hood front emblem is the original, this was originally an I-6.
The windshield does not have the stainless steel revel mouldings all 1961/66 Custom Cabs came with. The hood side emblems are 1963/64.
Where are the Custom Cab door trim panels?
The side mouldings are 1963/64: hood, cowl, door, corner panel. The bed mouldings are 1964 Styleside only, but...
Just like 1965/66 side mouldings, are not specific to Custom Cabs. The mouldings could be ordered with either type of cab and did not come with any package except on 1965/66 Rangers.
Whoever installed these side mouldings never heard of using a tape measure or a spirit level...they don't even line up.
Anyone can add 1961/66 Custom Cab nameplates, but the ONLY way to know if it's a real Custom Cab...or not, is by the BODY code.
People buy these old rolling piles of misery without doing one shred of research, then are PO'd when they find out they bought Frankenstein monsters with parts swapped from gawd only knows what.
Way back when, I used to feel sorry for these ppl, but not any more...considering all the info that's available today in print and on the net.

Maybe because his starting bid was too high for a basic truck without the original engine.
Or, maybe, just maybe, because the dufus couldn't remove the trash from the bed before taking a picture for all to see. Really what is the deal with straightening things up a bit before taking a picture for a sale? So I'll chalk it up to poetic justice...
Or like Bill said since he beat me to the trigger by mere seconds...
