In January my engine light on my 2004 f150 supercab, came on, so I took it in to the dealership service center, and they told me there was an oil leak as well as the knock sensor went out,,, so they replaced it (knock sensor not under warranty) and I had it back maybe 2 weeks and the light went on again, took it back says it was still reading the knock sensor, so they told me it could be caused from cheap gas, or sitting to long, so again I brought it home not a week later the light came on again, I even had put the better gas in!... so it failed emissions because of the light, took it back in and they tell me it is the other knock sensor, so what I have seen and been told that they only have 1.... is this true? are they trying to scam me because I am a girl? just curious!
i just scanned my truck cause my light came on too, and its the same problem, p0325. i have a 2004 4x4 extended cab, similar to yours. it said on the scanner, knock sensor 1 circuit malfunction bank 1 or 1 sensor. im thinking there may be two sensors, because there was a number after the word "knock". But it could be just dirt or faulty wiring to have that code pop up. i cleared the code with my scanner to see if it was just a glitch, if it comes back im gonna try cleaning the connections. just wondering, if i had to replace the sensor, how much did they charge you?
