Excursion HELP!!!
Hi,
Can some one help me. I brought a Ford Excursion that was on its way to the middle East. 1FMNU42S8YED26817 2002 V10 It has been fitted with a speed alarm which is driving me mad. I have tried to get to it, to disconnect it but its not easy. Would anyone know the pin number on the ECU or a way I can stop this?

OK I'll bite.... What do you mean by a speed alarm? At what speed does it go on?
Sorry, but I have never heard of this type of alarm on a personal vehicle. Have seen one on a comercial pickup truck.

Maybe you should just take this one by the Ford dealer.

Welcome to FTE! I would locate the alarm buzzer and snip the wire. Unless of course...it is using the stock buzzer. Then I don't know what to tell ya!

I hope I'm not the bearer of bad news here.... In your post, you mention that your Excursion is a 2002 model (which I am hoping is a typo) - Cause when I entered your VIN into the MYFORD website, it comes back as a 2000 Ford Excursion Limited, not a 2002..... If you bought it as a 2002, I hope the Ford site is wrong.
Anyway, after downloading your operators manual and reviewing it, I see no mention of a speed alarm option so I would guess that the system you have is an aftermarket system or possibly part of an aftermarket security alarm or something......
Sorry I couldn't be of more help - can you talk to the person you bought it from??? Maybe they know something about any aftermarket options that have been installed.
