Hot start problem
My cousin's got a 1992 f250 with a 7.3 nonturbo manual shift.
We've worked through the bugs on it got it going.
He has one problem left on it that's got us puzzled. I know it's got to be something simple but we can't find out what it is.
After he runs it awhile till it gets good and warm then shuts it off. If he goes back to it while its still warm, it won't start..unless he roll starts it down a hill then it'll start. Whats causing this?

That truck doesn`t have a ACT sensor. When starting from cold how long does the Wait To Start light stay on?
Also I would suspect that the starter is not spinning the engine over fast enough when hot. The minium you need is two 850CC batteries, good battery wires, good ground and good starter motor. All connections should be clean and tight.

I saw the 150 or bigger in the forum I should have thumbed on down. My bad.
about the battery and wires..Batteries are a couple months old and the wires are all clean tight and coated with white grease for to prevent corrosion.
The starter on the other hand is an old one. Do you think that it might be a weak starter?

What does it do when it doesn't start? Does it sound like the starter doesn't have any power and the motor drags like it's -40* or does it turn over quickly but not start?
Mine does the first. I've decided it's a hot starter problem. Works great when it's cooled off. 300 I6 in mine.
