Good on you. Like I said, I admire people that do this kind of thing. It's all good, what this country was founded on, etc. If we as a people are left alone, we'll fix it, whatever it is, or make a go of a new idea. I best put my thinking cap on and quit slacking and catch up. Jeff

Ford Ranger; You know the saying " Wish in one hand, ............", Think, then do. That dry grinding sound you hear is me trying to think. Sorry for the disturbance. Jeff

I quit a successful career as an engineer to work in the field. Best decision I've ever made! Started and sold 6 different business's, and getting ready to start a whole new thing.........The thing I've always found that works, find something that nobody else is doing, or doing wrong, and jump in!

Expensive trip............Got 30 miles from town in the middle of nowhere in the old class C, had a inside tire on the duals, tread separated , blew out spectacularly!...........noticed the inside tire on opposite side was bulging and minutes from failure too!.....Spare was a old tire with little life left, not gonna chance it.........Les Schwab emergency road service arrives, 2 new tires + after hours service call + $90.00hr = almost $500.00 for 2 tires. Noticed while waiting that a roof vent had disintegrated and parted ways with the RV.......Turn around, go home in disgust. And this after checking out everything the day before. How does that much go wrong in 30 miles?...............GRRRRRR!

Dave sorry to hear about your troubles. I have been checking over my pickup for a road trip starting on the 15th heading over to Christmas Valley to visit with my Grandparents, and my Wife has some plans that sound like I will be covering most of Lake County.

MORNIN' ALL,
its cold and wet here.
the last i blew a tire/s was on a rental truck headed this way. the truck blew a lf steer
tire and blew the rr outside dual. by the time road service got there i had the tires off the darn thing. i had a truck load of my tools and jacks /stands. the wife was driving the ranger and seen the rental and trailer swerve. she gets on the c.b. wanting to know what happened. i told her i blew a steer tire. good thing i was going to pull into a scale.
the truck and trailer weighed 26,100#. so i had to scale it. goodthing i had my 6ton jack. budget didn't like me working on their truck. but the good ole boys in montana
let us use their air. the scale master offered their shop. by the time he got there i had the rig off the ground and tires were off. he asked me if the ranger on the interstate was part of the convoy i said yes it is.. so he waved my wife down to the exit of the scale and held the big rigs up so she could get out of the way. thats cool.. they were really nice.
