The 727 won't even be the weak link in your drivetrain.

That "Edelbrock" is a Carter AFB, and easy to set up.

Easy to go through, if needed, too.

Well it took almost a year, but the body shop has finished my '49 F3 cab.
He did a real good job on it.
Still waiting for the front clip to get finished.

I've included a 'before' picture of the truck. It has been off the road since 1968. I hope to drive this F3 to the Penn. Truckstock this September.

Yeah, I like that color.
I think mine was originally meadow green but the genius before I got it re-did it in "resale" red.

Thanks guys, I'm hoping for good weather too. Won't be able to work outside or in the unheated garage on it until April at best. In the meantime I'm working on the window parts and upholstery down in my cellar.
The funny thing is, 48dev - the truck was originally painted red at the factory. Then it got a coat of black, then blue on top of that at some point more than 50 years ago. Meadow green is my new favorite...so that is what it became.

You and abe must be great friends... I like the color too, that's what my panel was painted at the factory. My wife didn't like it but it was in it's very faded form when I dragged the panel home...

I would say we are friends but we haven't met yet. And he asked me for permission first! I sent him my paint chip and he sent me some honey!

I've seen meadow green on several different trucks and some look lighter than others, must be whoever mixes it or it's just the lighting.....

It's true...my truck is going to be genuine Abe's color.
I'm doing something to work on my truck every day. The goal is to assemble & then drive it from Maine to Pennsylvania to meet Abe and other FTE members in September. It's still in 4,000 parts right now scattered all over the place, but I have already done one before and have learned a few things along the way.

You're right John.
The body shop's first attempt at mixing the paint was a couple of shades too light compared to the most common color we expect. The next try was perfect. My pictures above are a little deceiving, due to my poor camera skills. The actual daylight color in person is a bit more pastel and not as vivid as the photos. It matches Abe's color pretty well. If the body shop had shot the whole truck with the first attempt at mixing, I would have been stuck with one of those variations you mention. Glad he called me to come look at a sample before he went ahead! Tom
