Sorry I was late in getting the pics but I actually had to work yesterday. That is rare for me lately. Anyway here are some pics. The fuel pump end is reduced in diameter by .010" and is slightly tapered. Mine appears to have a raised area 1/2" back from the end. I wouldn't think this would be very important and could be left off without any difference in how the device worked.
On edit I tried to load another picture but cannot. I'll have to start another reply.

Thanks a bunch. The parts book shows one replacing this rod with one that has an oil hole in it (no picture). Any idea of were that might be drilled. Probably for exta oil to the cam end?
You know what? I just re-read the original post and realized you have a 337. The info I gave you is for a 239. I don't know if there is any difference.
