Speedometer ?

Anyone know if a speedo from a 94-96 Lightning will work in our trucks? Been looking at a couple since they read 120mph and ours go up to 85 only.

You can dissasemble the dash cluster and use the middle part from the lightning and the rest of the diesel parts and it should work, but a 94 wont work with your 96.
they changed them about every 2 years.

try and find a 96 if you can.

Just remember, there is no way for you to swap your milage deal over.

if you have an auto, try and find an auto cluster as well, less of a pain to get that wire hooked up for the shifter.

ok thanks that's what I thought. I thought any gauge cluster from a 96 F-series with tach would work. I know the tach is different but the Amp/ Fuel and Oil/water and Speedo should all be the same

Also would there be any way to just take out stock cluster and install a piece of stainless in there to run Autometer or Ford Racing Gauges?

I'm not sure on your second question.

but you will want to just use the center section of the lightning gauge cluster not the other gauges.

The gauges in our trucks are specific to the diesels.
