Strange Lighting Problem
I was driving my 1999 Powerstroke today and thought that my turn signal relay went bad. Picked up a new relay and went home and swapped it out. Following the relay swap, discovered that the flashers worked fine with the headlights off and no break pedal applied, but as soon as I turn on the headlights and hit the brakes, the flashers stopped working and the indicator signal in the cab went very dim. Also, I have absolutely no reverse lights (headlights off or on). When I have my headlights turned off in the cab, the brake lights would work, but with the headlights on, the brake lights didn't work. I found some corrosion on my trailer plug, cleaned the contacts--did not help. Looked at the wiring under the dash, but nothing stood out as obviously bad. Inspected all fuses--no issues there. Unfortunately, rain and darkness stopped my troubleshooting, so had to retire to the geek machine here to look for assistance. If you've got any ideas, let me know.

Glad you got it sorted though.
Was it just luck you found the short in the tail light harness or did some thing lead you to it?
