What exactly are we working on here? Year, make and model? Has your truck got a solid axle in the front, or the Twin beam?

There should be a tag on the front axle pumpkin; write down all those numbers and go to the
Parts Dept. of your local Ford dealer.

Then, do your best to clean it up and get as much info as you can from it, take
*that* to Ford; hopefully, you will encounter a parts person with some experience
in the field and who will know how to go looking up the various possibilities and
asking you some questions to include or exclude certain possibilities.

Also, write down and bring with you the AXLE code from the Safety Certification
Label on the driver's side door jamb, that info might help.

EDIT: I shall ask NumberDummy to stop by, perhaps he can help.

Without the front driving axle ID tag code, looking up 4WD front axle parts in Ford truck parts catalogs is a b!tch! There are literally, 100's of different front driving axle parts lists.

You lucked out, because..1983 F350 4WD's only have three parts lists, all show the same pinion seal.

Ford part number: E1TZ4676A .. Pinion Seal / Obsolete

Dana part number: 39118

Take the Dana part number to NAPA, they may have it, or can get it. But, if not....

E1TZ4676A = No Ford Dealer in FL has any, however...

TISON MOTOR CO. in Estill SC has ONE = 803-625-2551.

PIEDMONT FORD TRUCKS in Greensboro NC has TWO = 336-668-2401.

FREEMAN FORD in Liberty NC has THREE = 336-622-4256.

PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has 50 = 888-727-0418.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 72 = 800-543-4959.

You are going to have to get someone to look at it who knows what they are looking at, or take a picture and put it on here. You are not supposed to have a solid front axle, so if you do have a original ttb axle, then numberdummy's numbers will be good. If someone has swapped in a solid front axle, then you cannot be sure what you have until you get the numbers off the axle.
