Interior Lamp problem

Hello I have a 1997 ford f-150 flareside 4x4 and the interior lights have not worked since I purchased the truck.I checked the bulb and it was burnt out so I replaced it and still does not work.

The truck was hit on the 3rd door on the passenger side before I bought it and I think they may have done something to keep the interior light from coming on by accident when not shutting the door all the way.

I checked the number 14 fuse which is where I think the interior fuse it on this truck does anyone have any other ideas on what I could check to be my problem? Thanks

If they messed with the passenger door, it would still come on when you opened the drivers side. Either something is wrong at the top (check for voltage there) or something else is going on.

Is there any other fuses to check or anything else that could be the problem related to the dome light not working?

No interior lights work at all but the only lights that are inside the truck is the one dome light and to map light switches and none of those work with the dimmer or anything and no cargo light either.I think they unplugged or took out a fuse to keep the inside lights from coming on but where is the question

Is there a diagram or something that may show where these are located?

Well maybe that is the problem there is only 1 relay plugged in that interior fuse box and it is the very first relay there is no other replays there.

Dome light relay

I've a similar problem - dome lights will not come on .. dash lights and dimmer work OK .. I think the relay #1 controls these or is there a fuse ?
Thx!

But does the 2,4 and 5 relays control the interior lights cause there is no interior lights and no relays in those slots.

Interior Light Problem

I re-insert the 5A fuse in position 15 - the interior lights come on for 5 seconds or so .. then hear a "click" from the #1 relay and they go out .. I swapped the #1 & #2 relays (they are the same) and still the relay trips out ..
Is there a short somewhere or this GEM module a problem ? .. All other lights (dimmer, panel etc.) work OK .. any ideas anyone ?
Thx!
