Ok, I have some good news at least till someone tells me otherwise... I have power now to the dome light, it doesnt light all the way but the filiment turns orange meaning power, So im guessing that means the batteries are not providing enough power to anything. What do i check next??

That's a big plus for sure! If you got a charger try putting the batteries on it. It's best when trying to trace electrical that you KNOW your batteries are not the problem. I am heading out to the shop right now, will find my book and scan those schematics for you!

if you know for sure that your batteries are fully charged, but all your getting to the inside of the truck is a trickle of juice i wouldnt rule out the grounds.

Have you removed the fuses and reinserted them?

I think I would be looking at the contacts under all of the fuses.

Pay close attention to I, J, K, L, N, P, R, and S.
Then I would also check the fuses inside since J, L, N, P, and S feed them.

Grounds is another good possibility, you have to have a complete path from the battery to the device and back to the battery for electrical items to work.

Since this affects so many circuits at one, I think a ground problem is even more likely unless it is a power problem between the battery and the under hood fuse panel.

i will be checking the grounds sunday! I brought them in and they have a reading of 100 and 95% so the batteries at least test good on battery charger. My grandpa said they can freeze and that would ruin them, is this true? Also i checked water levels which were full and the metal inside is white on some instead of grey is this a issue?

Discharged batteries indeed can freeze, which warps the plates.

And they usually die shortly afterwards.

Plate color don't really say much one way or the other.

so since they both had at least 95% charge it shouldnt of froze. so before i reinstall them I will clean ground connections and then the Fuzes you told me Dave. I thank everyone very much for helping me and putting up with me, electrical is not my strong point. You guys are saving me from a HUGE Repair bill from a garage, so my sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to you all. Im Hoping and praying it'll be up and running sunday afternoon only having 1 car sucks, especially going from my truck to a Neon...

Where does the driver side battery ground go to, i cant seem to trace it? Dave I checked all the fuses you pointed out and they were good and went ahead and replaced them anyways. I need to get sand paper so i can get the metal shiney.

Just curious have you hooked jumper cables to it. it is possible your batteries froze and have enough to light a test light but not enough amps to handle anything else.
does yours have the famous connector on the passenger fender.
