Yeah I did consider myself lucky, I remeber the pictures of all those folks stranded on the pike and route 28 out by Boston. Didn't we have like three storms in 8-10 days with two of them being 20+ inches?
I believe you are correct, but the main storm itself lasted 2 days..
Whooooa! The Blizzard of 78 Brrrrr! I had my Dad's 1972 Gran Torino Sport (Gold but otherwise looked exactly like the one in the Clint Eastwood movie). Turned off the main road on my way homeinto a 3 foot snowbank and the car made it about 40 ft from there. I thought I blew the radiator with all the steam. I popped the hood only to fine the 2 ft of snow had swamped the car. The snow had filled the engine compartment to the valve covers. Walked home (2 miles) about an hour later a neighbor with a Big F350 came by and asked if that was our car and he took us back and plowed our way home. The next day there were all kinds of reports where plows had just moved cars out of the way with there blades in an effort to keep roads open.
Sounds like the Blizzard we had in 75.......and last week!

they finally got out and we ended up with a 20 ft high snowpile in front yard what a blast
I hear you have been getting belted with white crap this year..
Are you ready for spring yet??
My friend, you have no idea! We have about 30" on the ground now, and that's not counting the drifts. The sub zero temps and 30-40 below wind chills are not helping. I've, quite frankly, had enough!
