I have a 1992 explorer and I was getting to much fuel into #1. The fuel pressure reads 40 psi when running and it still ran like crap.So I took to a shop that a buddy owns and he checked it and its getting around 5 psi.I put a new FPR on and its the same.I put fuel pump on about 3 years ago.Is there something im missing. Thanks Ben

Who's pressure reading is correct, or is it an intermittent case (maybe the pump is running sometimes and sometimes not)? Or did you buddy check the pressure KOEO, and we are seeing the effect of a system that can't hold pressure?
My own first thought: too much fuel into only one cylinder sounds like an injector stuck open.
they were both on koer. I didnt have any pressure koeo.I changed the injecter that was my first thought. It still did the same thing.Ill change the fuel pump. Its just unusuel for fuel pumps to go out that often. That why I was curios if I might be missing something. Thanks
