They may just call it the "Scorpion Diesel" or something a little more creative as that's the codename for it. The 6.0 was originally known as the "Super 600" before it was released to the public as the 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel.
As much as I Cherish the Powerstroke Name THe Powerstroke reputation took a bad bad hit with the 6.0 and just like those who own a dadge for the Cummins, many WON'T own a Ford because of the PowerStroke. The powerstroke was a Joint venture between Ford and International, This is an all new motor made solely by Ford with probably a larger development cost then any motor before it. My vote is to let the new motor come with a new name and let it stand or crash on its own merit. And "Scorpian" in its own right is a pretty cool name.
From where im standing its purty hard to make an argument against what your saying, but then i think Ford mite place its decision on the long success they had with the ole 7.3. Thats what i wudve done... Also i think the 6.4 seems better to. From what i unnerstand the 6.0 problem was a relative short (albeit costly) mishap.
