that idiot ! Scary but true too many of times you see something like this _ i just hit the gas and make sure to be well ahead of any of that carnage. If a PO pulls me over for speeding I think I have a valid enough reason when that roving violation drives by...

Go to Home Depot almost every day and ESPECIALLY on the weekends and you'll always be astounded at what people try to put in or on their cars/trucks...

Well it seemed this thread could use a bit of lightning up (pun intended) That Jetta pic is so common as well as the blazer with the 5th wheel hitch that I left it out....
Just that the load is tied on with twine is funny... I think India is the King of Overloaded vehicles.... I read they have something like 92+ thousand deaths due to overloaded vehicle accidents

You Got Competition
Thought I would post these "Heavy Load" pics of my Ex and Trailer. Towed this home from Denver in a Snow Storm no less. Part of the trip the Freeway was completely snowpacked. it all handled pretty well after all my recent towing mods, being in 4wd and kept speeds to 55mph or less. Figure the trailer weight at 4 pallets of Flagstone @ 4000lb each, 3 wheel chair lifts at 330lbs each and a Generator at prob 500lbs and a 3500lb trailer so about 21K lbs.

I just brought home a load of pine slabs. I had milled them down to about 7 - 8" thick and they were 7' long. They weighed about 800lbs for the lighter ones and probably 1,200 for the heavier ones. There were 9 slabs and then I had the 4,300# stump grinder on the very back of the trailer. I am guessing that I was right at 18,000 lbs. It was a short trip though. Maybe about 20 miles. I wish I had taken pictures of the trailer. (It was a long day and I still had to unload it all.) The Excursion handled it just fine.
Oh, the pine tree was 43" dbh (diameter breast height) and over 130' tall.
I did get a few pictures of the tree.
Here's the tree but you can't really get a feel how big it actually is until you see the next picture.
That's my climber. He's in the first picture but he's so small you can barely see him.
This one need no explanation.

I've been lurking on this forum for over a year now. We bought our 2004 PSD Eddie Bauer in Feb 2009, roughly the same time we bought our 2009 Keystone Sprinter 311BHS travel trailer. Thanks to everyone on this board for the in-depth, reliable info. I use the board frequently and may not have bought the X without having such a great resource close at hand.
Here are a couple pics of our X towing the Sprinter (35 feet, hitch to bumper - around 10,500lbs fully loaded). We were on the road for 3 months in summer/fall 2009, going from Vancouver, Canada (where we live) across Canada to Toronto, then down to Knoxville, Tennessee, then across Route 66 to CA and back up to Vancouver.
