Just out of curiosity, do you notice a difference in crushability (if that's a word), between the older cars and the newer ones?

YES! Newer cars are easier to crush...thinner sheet metal... more cardboard and
cheaper material.

jeezzz.. i have to say it.. for being that old of a truck that thing has so much more personality then the average monster truck with a thin shell.. thats what a monster truck should look like

ss vent window frames? never heard of them. i spent 5 years finding the best parts for my 78. i had mine powder coated, i suppose you could chrome them. i know no one makes them unless they began production in the last 9 months or so

Nice truck. I would post a pic of my 73 but the only ones I have are of when a 60' tree fell on the hood. If enough people really want to see that I will post the pics but know that it was under the tree for a week before I got home from our nationals and she was also dirty in those pics as well!

Well, actually it rides quite well for what it has for suspension. When I drive it in a show, I have the tires inflated to 6 PSI. I use 35 PSI for street driving.
The truck is bouncy.

I could have made a tubular frame but decided not to.
I like the traditional frame design much better.

NICE RIG!! i like the fact you're running a d60/d70, i just have to laugh when i see guys running 44's with a d44 up front. It's still streetable and functional as a truck and not just a car crushing cartoon truck for the amusement of drunk rednecks.
