What does 6 inches of water in the cab have to do with how hard your wheelin? I've seen that on paved streets around here. Just because u can drive in deep water does not mean you are wheelin hard. personally I don't like to get my feet wet. Lol. As long as the breather is extended up above the water an auto does not care if its under water. You can't extend a breather on a NP435. So if its under water its full of water.

ha what a dumb thing to say, just cause you don't drive into 5feet of water means your not wheelin hard enough? thats just stupid, but then agian i guess we can't be all has hardcore as you haha. but neways prozon im excited to see the upgrades to your truck!

Auto's handle pretty well with water if you know how to take care of it afterwards. But by design a manual transmission will hold up to being submerged better than an automatic. Auto's will fall apart inside if you keep water in them long enough.
My buddy tried his homemade snorkle in the river. It died and sat there for about an hour before I got there to pull him out. 3-4 transmission fluid changes and some water evaporator stuff, (for gasoline) and the transmission is still working! After all the work changing the fluids a million times to get the water out, he is putting a $2000 350 in it that he built, which is like a $4000 350 if you buy it like its built.
I don't like to get my feet wet, but once they are wet, there's no sense being a ***** about it. My biggest concern before was ruining my audio system, so I tried keeping water under the speaker level. Right now I have all my audio in my DD, so its stripped down and i'm not too worried about getting it wet. I got stuck last year and couldn't get my doors open because of the mud. So I crawled in and out of my rear window like 6 times. And I ended up going into the mud so I had mud everywhere. Thats why you should always have rubber floor mats, its easier to clean when you get home. Just hose out the truck.
As for the gears, I think 5.13 will be good. I don't really want to be too low because it will have to go on the roads to get to the wheeling spots. I don't have a good tow rig anymore.
And that breather thing sounds like a challenge to me.

yeah i smashed up my pipes while attempting to back over another vehicle, so i cut em off right after my cutouts. it was quite loud, so i threw some flowmasters on there, but the stupid hangers broke within a week. ive just been too lazy to fix them.
i bought my kit through a speed shop, and the guy quoted me about 1400 bucks. the total came to 1700 with everything, but he made good on his quote. plus i didnt have to pay for shipping and freight.

I would do the shackle reversal and a shackle flip if it was me. Im almost sure that gives you 4" lift with the factory springs. THen get some 4" lift springs. Makes sure to get quality springs. Dont want it to ride like a lumber wagon. The more leafs and the thinner they are makes it flex more and ride better.
