Pretty quiet around here today. I'm sittin on the beach in vancouver getting rained on, waiting for the fireworks to start.

 

I was in Van last year at that time. Got to watch the first one in the series...spectacular. Stayed at the Coast Hotel on Denman and Comox. Great view from there. Hope the rain stops for ya.

 

We are on the beach right at denman and davie. It's still rainin pretty good and there is a lot of lightning just east of us. I'm huddling under my backpacks rain cover

 

I'll send some of my weather down to ya Pete. 22 here right now and sunny. 30 by the end of next week.

 

It's goin to be over 32 here next week. We had heat wave warnings on the radio earlier. This is only the 2nd or 3rd time it's rained here in about a month. It is just bad timing. There is a coast guard boat putting on a show for us now, spinning around with his hoses spraying.

 

Well, now wide mouth mason just started playing a live show a couple hundred yards up the beach, but it's still just as wet and stormy.

How was the fireworks? We had fireworks out here in Cloverdale, and Langley. We were at Montana's by Colossus watching the light show when we remembered our dogs are scared of thunder.

 

I would be the guy in a backpack sized Oakley rain cover, at about 9pm I gave up trying to stay dry and just stood out in the rain with everyone else.

 

The fireworks were good, the lightning made for a good backdrop.

I went to bed at 11:30 and woke at 1:15...i need to go back to bed!
