i went in at 5 am, and they never unloaded the bridge deck finisher machine from the trailer.
so first thing, i had to unload the $2,000,000 machine by myself.
then i started on my way up north, only to find out they never fixed the truck. it has "progressive shift" in it. low gears, low rpm's. the higher the gear, the higher the rpm's go. but the P.S. program in the computer is messed up, and it will only rev to 1400 rpm.
that gives you 45 mph top speed.
i get on the job, and they are not ready for the trailer. so i get in a crash truck to do lane closures. then they tell me i had to do 6 different closures.
i got that done, then they loaded 3 40 foot lengths of 36 inch steel gas main on the trailer, and told me to hang out for the rest of the day.
i called the job super, and asked him if he needed me anymore, and he said no, i don't need the truck till tomorrow morning. hang out till this afternoon, and someone will give you a ride home.
not wanting to sit there with my thumb up my posterior for 5 -6 hours in a truck with a broken AC unit, i said i will drop the trailer, and take the truck in for repairs, and left.

Well I am going to be taking off/wire brushing/painting/reinstalling my sway bar and track bar tomorrow on the expedition since they are getting rusty. Anyone got an idea of anything else I should take off and de-rust? I am also dropping the spare tire and doing the carrier, so thats included already also.

yup. them computerized trucks stink. but i was more worried about messing up that 2 million dollar machine than i was about driving the truck into a bridge abutment to put it out of it's misery.
it is a 95 L9000 with a N14 cummins.
i am taking it to cummins tomorrow afternoon to get the computer reprogrammed with a basic 400HP tune. .
