That's if it's a tanker, we have hydrants. So yes a hookup to a hydrant would be nice if it wasn't 200 yards down the street.

Do you think we could sneak a bunch of 4 inch line down the street at 2 am and not get noticed....

Steve sorry to hear about the pool issue. I can supply the hose and pumper at 1500 gallons a minute.... so it would take about 9 minutes to fill if the water main can supply the volume...lol.

Now with my department, we use to help residents out when we had our pond to supply the water with. It was not the cleanest and would need a lot of chmicals to get it reasy for use, but what the heck, it was free and gave the guys some training on drafting. Now with the municipal water, it is considered theft if it is used in swimming pools if we did it so that practice is no more.

Yeah, I know that's why when the water department guy stopped to see what was happening, he shot away with a "Good Luck" before I even had the chance to ask....like I said he is on the fire department too...might even have been chief at one point....

It's filling slowly but surely, went home for lunch and it's about 18" deep.

Is the plug a permanent mount that came off or a wire harness that came loose?
