AC issue

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger 3.0 V6 and have had this issue with my ac for a while. It won't blow any cold air at first but after driving for a while it get ice cold and works great. At first it was like 5 minutes now it is like 25 minutes before it starts to work. Any ideas were to start first??

Could just be low on freon. All pressurized systems leak to some extent. Over time, you may have lost enough freon to hamper the efficiency. When you first start the car and turn on the AC switch, did you notice if the compressor clutch engaged right away? If not, then the low pressure cut off switch is not allowing the compressor to engage. If everything up under the hodd heats up once the truck gets moving, then the AC lines, condensor and everything else under the hood heats up too. It could be just then that the AC system reaches a high enough ambient pressure for the switch to allow the compressor to run and then your AC ius actually on.

Just a guess since you didn't list too much detail here. Do you have AC gauges you can pop on there? Autozone has gauges you can borrow for free...or just go by there and slap them on in the parking lot. Blue is low side, red is high side. I'm sure the autozone gues can help you with all this.
