Third battery
i WANT TO INSTALL A THIRD BATTERY (OPTIMA YELLOW TOP) BUT I NEED A WIRING DIA GRAM AND PARTS LIST. ALSO, I'M INSTALLING UNDER CAB LIGHTS AND WANT THEM TO TURN ON WHEN DRIVERSIDE DOOR OPENS, WHAT COLOR WIRE DO I TAP INTO ? 2003 f350 6.0

What are you going to use the 3rd battery for?
For the light power you need to find a black/lightblue that feeds one of your domelights you have already. And it's going to work when any door is opened.

Look around at your local auto stores, the internet, or anywhere you prefer to shop for auto parts, and look up "battery isolator". I would buy one of those. This will let your truck alternator charge the 3rd battery, but when you turn the truck off, it will isolate the 3rd battery from the rest of the truck, so you can run your winch and other stuff with the engine off, and it will not run down the starting batteries, so the truck will always start.

I understand the battery isolater , I've already installed one on my 1992 Bronco. I used a cole hersey isolater and two optima yellow tops, but with my 03 f-350, I would like a diagram, so as not to smoke the expensive computer stuff if I screw up, Do you no what I mean? Thanks for the dome wirein tip ,I'm going to ty my under cab lites in this week.
