efi to carb
i have a 92 f150 4x4 5.0L efi with a m5r2 manual trans. i am wondering what it entails to convert it to carb
in the process of turning the 302 into a 347 stroker and lifting it 10 more in

Does the 92 have the high pressure fuel pump on the frame or just the two high pressure pumps in the tanks?
If just the two, I would replace them with 89 style low pressure pumps to feed a aftermarket electric pump like a Mallory or Holley mounted to the frame for carb applications.
You will also need a stand alone type ignition. I highly recommend the DUI all in one distributor from Performance Distributors - High Performance and Racing Ignition Systems . I have one in my 63 F100 351W and it works great. A much better spark than the Duraspark that I had on it.

I did an efi (throttlebody) to holly carb a while back. I dont think it really matters what your pump setup is, in tank or combination. You cant run the carb on the pressure either type puts out, so you must regulate it down to ~5-7 psi for a carb.
I used a 3 port mallory regulator at the engine. 1 port is the intake from the tank. 1 port is regulated down for the carb. 1 port is the excess from tank fed back thru the tank return. Get one of those small in-line fuel pressure guages and mount it on the firewall so it can be read from the front. Also you will have to "fool" the processor into thinking the engine is running so that it will energize the relay that supplies power to the tank fuel pumps. The wire is from the ignition feeds (idm---I think, will have to look it up---again!) and it gets connected to a connection at the diagnostic port (again, my memory of it).
