stop light switch
i have a 2002 x if your brake lights stay on. you need to replace the switch at the peddle sounds simple huh? the plastic switch is no longer available, the steelership took me for $140 can for a older style switch with the connector when i was hunting for the factory switch . it is no longer available so if you take the old part # and it comes back as an older style with wiring thats the one. you can get it for $30 after market sorry if i'm not that detialed it's been a fun filled day. hope this helps someone

My Dad has a 2003 Explorer and thinks he needs to replace the same thing. Did Ford give you their part number? His problem is that brake lights dont come on some times, so it makes it hard to shift the truck out of Park! Thanks for your help!
