Hi Everyone,
My daughter has a 1990 Ford Aerostar van she purchased used about 8 months ago. It ran fine untill about 2 months ago. The battery would not stay charged. She bought a brand new battery and also got a new altenator installed. The battery still does not keep the charge and soon the van dies. Does this van have a voltage regulator that we can change? We have checked to make sure all the lights are off. I have checked the fuses with the engine running to see if the gauge changes but nothing. Does anyone have an idea as to what else I could check? She cannot afford to put too much more money into this. She also had a friend check the altenator and he said it checks fine. Thanks for the help.
