Taurus engine swap
I think this is doable but thought I'd check here for verification
Can I swap the engine and transmisison from a 97 taurus to a 96??? Both are 3.0 engines with the shifter on the column. Both have U in the VIN. Don't know if thats engine or tranny though. Any help is appreciated.

Yes the swap will work. Both are OBD11 and everything should be the same. Of course you cant put a pre 96 engine into anything newer because the OBD1 and OBD11 systems are differant.
