I noticed an oil leak and initially found a puddle in the engine valley, figured turbo pedestal. Took it to be looked at by a mechanic I use and found the real source was the oil pan rusted. There was a coating on it but it rusted out underneath, probably not prepped right. I left it there for the weekend since he was going to work on it on Monday so Monday morning he went to pull it into the garage and the tank let loose.
Since the engine had to be pulled anyway I decided to go through and replace whatever looked questionable. I already had an exhaust manifold bolt broken off and it was flush with the manifold. So head goes to machine shop to get bolt out, pressure tested, etc along with the other side to keep it even. Turbo pedestal did have small leak and it was the older version, so it has been replaced. Could go on but will post the sad results after I get it back next week.
