window question
ok guys this 86 ranger im working on is ex cab with out vent windows, im trying to replace the passanger side window and none that i find work cause it has the white plastic that holds it keeps it from lining up, any reason for this? i looked on ten rangers from 83 to 91 and found none with the same set up. so really curious

going off of memory i think there was a door glass change mid 80s somewhere and they 2 glasses will not interchange let me look it up in the morn when i can access more info and i take it when you say white plastic you are referring to the 2 piece holder that snaps in the hole of the glass that the rivet attaches to the regulator

i vaguely remember back that of ford changing things around mostly because they can and nobody would notice maybe the door was changed and tho it fits the internals are of a different year and yes i have pulled up on a car and get blindsided by crazy stories of how they replces it with a used door way back when and forgot to memtion it
