Hey Roentgeep,i did test it without the silicone on it i just put the plate over it and used washers to hold it in place for the test run,i did cut the legs on the resistor about half off each end,maybe ill still put the silicone on it just to be on the safe side i figured it would be ok maybe with out it hahaha,and heck yeah im green lol,happy as ever now hahaha
Im glad you did to Scott,i got it all glued down now hahah everything is in working order,now i need to find the next mod,i have done the 6637,now the idm,ccv, im thinking of doing the fpr shim now,just need to get a gauge and see where it is at now before i try that one.
Mike, I put this one together a couple of years ago, the cost was around $20 for the oil filled gauge and lock on type tire chuck or what ever its called, I got all the parts at the local farm supply store, it worked very well for me. Just locked the chuck on and start the truck, holding the gauge is not necessary.
