Hi Jason
I was born in Smithers in 1949. We were a Telkwa family at Tyee Lake.
My mother has Alzeimers and is in a home in Summerland, so I know what you went through.
Has your family been in Smithers for a long time?

Well I have lived here all my life (all 23 years of it). My dad's family moved here in 1972 and my Mom's family moved here a year later. My dad's family was originaly in Kitwanga and my Mom's family came from New Westminister.

You're in White Rock, Bob?

I lived there for a few years, but now I'm in Cloverdale.

I really wish the weather would turn around soon. I was in shorts yesterday.

My wife and I went to the flea market in Cloverdale yesterday and it was very nice. Today is cool. When are we to see the benefit of Global Warming?
I'm in the Prace Arch RV park. Its like living in the country.

My dad had his business in White Rock for many years. He used to do demolition derby and sometimes in Cloverdale.

As for grandfathers I had 3. Two I was never really old enough to know before they died. My dad was forestry accident and died shortly before I was 3 and I guess his dad took me under his wing so to speak. He lived to almost 95 yrs old. He was still driving and riding his bike. He even has a pavillion named after him somewhere in Abbotsford.

No spring here in Wyoming. Its been really cold here and the wood stove is going, gotta love wood stoves.

Jason I understand about Hep C, my daughter has it. She made some very bad choices with guys. But gave me one heck of a grandson and in June she is suppose to give me a granddaughter.

Well it's kind of a middle of the road day here. Cloudy and cool. At least no rain or snow.................................yet.

Think I may spend some time cleaning up the 5th wheel today or tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me what I did so bad on this forum they revoked my ability to start a thread?

I tried twice, and it told me I am not allowed to start any threads.

I find it often windy and cold there.

Once you acclimatize to Loops heat, everything else seems cold I guess.

I don't know, Kamloops can feel pretty cold durring the winter, mostly because of the 80km/hr winds. Without the windchill, it gets colder up here, but the "feels like" factor evens things up an awfull lot.
