Hi, i have a 72 f-100 with a 360 in it now, i am restoring it, I am going to have to put on new exchaust up to the manifold, i am 15 and i n high school so i have a VERY limited budget, i know i am going to put 40 series flowmasters and header on but i dont know which headers yet, do you guys have any sugestions on what kind of header to put on that would make it:
1sound nice
2 be cost effective
3 not be so cheap that i will have to replace them in 3 years.

I would suggest saving your money and sticking with stock manifolds. Headers that will last more than 3 years will cost $300 or more, and you will fight collector gasket leaks the whole time. Plus, headers probuce their best at high RPM, higher than a 360 will normally run at. I just put stock manifolds back on my truck after the aluma-coat headers literally rotted off. They lasted 8-9 years, but I paid close to $300 way back then. Headers look way better than they perform IMO.

I agree with Nate, forget the headers, and Flowmasters do have an awesome sound.
Headers come into play with engines turning more that 4000 rpms. If your truck isn't a 4X4 or has a towing package, it should be turning 22 - 2600 rpms 95% of it's hwy. runnning time.
I have one of my trucks with headers and won't ever buy another pair.
