Steering problem
i have added power steering to my 66 f-100 awhile back it worked great, a few months ago it started leaking out of the steering wheel side seals so i got a rebuild from napa and made custom steering hoses for it. the seating surface for the gear was a bit damaged so i added a copper repair cone to prevent leaking. Now for some reason i have about 1" of play in the steering wheel which makes it bit of pain to drive.
Any ideas?

You need to determine if its the gearbox or other linkage that is providing your play. If the gear, send it back to NAPA, other wise look for wornout linkage, radius arm bushings,rag joint, kingpins, pivot bushings, etc. Coincidences like that will drive you nuts.
