George, hopefully you can pick up that 428, I can't seem to get an answer out of my brother in law on the one at the farm. He keeps acting like he wants to keep it. He thinks everything is waaay more than what it's really worth, so he'll probably want a million bucks for it. If that 428 you found doesn't work out, let me know, I'll go back to working on him!

Rob, if you buy that bronco, can I have your pickup when you wife kills you??

well i drove all the way to MO to get that 56 f100 that I bought off of ebay last week and let me tell you.. . thats alot of driving for one day. Anyways, here are a few pics of my new toy. George, you still had better chain your frame to a tree because I will have to redo this one too!! Just warning ya!

i am really excited to, what color are you going to paint yours George? Im either going orange or metallic blue

 

I keep bouncing on that issue. Originally it was going to be dark metalic blue, then black, then platinum, now thinking about Dark metalic Silver with 2 ghost Shelby Mustang Style Stripes. Have you thought about your front end and if your going to stay with leaf springs in the back or go with ladder bars? How about Transmission? I have an ADO for mine. I am going with fuel injection on mine also - That ads a lot of Cost to the project!

 

nope, "someday" I may put a no limit front suspension and rear ladder bars, probably going to stay away from the fuel injection cause Im afraid of the price of it, Not sure about the power plant or transmission but I got plenty of time to worry about that. Heck Im thinking about driving it the way it is for awhile just to enjoy it, she runs and drives good just needs a tune up. My insurance would be cheap. LOL

 

i agree with ya, Silver looks really sweet too. Here is a link to a guy who was origionally from Scottsbluff Nebraska but moved out to California. Hes got a 56 also and his is silver, check it out:

SWEET truck but i prefer ford motors in ford trucks. But Id have to say that id still take it.

 

I'm with you on powerplants. They have a kit out there that puts a Dakota Front end under the 56 that is suppose to be pretty slick. I have the Cordoba front end under mine and it is a very clean set up but Cordoba's are gettin hard to find. I have to get moving on mine, I have not done much over the last 5 years but my goal is to have it done completely in 2 years. If I get my Vette sold that will move the time frame up quickly.

 

Hey, Ive actually got a 77 Cordoba that I was going to use under my 58 but then I decided that I was just probably going to use all new stuff. Oh well, we will see if i can afford it when the time comes.
