It was taken on Stewart Rd. between Alice and Loch Lomond. It was 100*-plus at work and all I could think of was the lake I was at the day before. After work we went, it was raining on the drive up. As we reached the lake the rain let up and trout were jumping. It was 65* at the top, the air was cool and moist. Wildflowers that had disappeared for the season around the house were in full bloom here. We fished for an hour, then the rain picked up again, sending us back down the hill. Part way down the rain subsided to sprinkles, the air was fresh, there were three rainbows to the east: Picture time!!!
At that moment I was afraid to breathe because I might miss something.
If you are watching an awesome (or even mediocre) sunrise/sunset and see some goofball looking the opposite direction, taking pictures, it could be me. Maybe later I'll post the picture taken of the actual sunset, not nearly as exciting.

While yer working weather miracles Bruce.....I need fair weather across the lower U.S. as I am driving to Spring Hill, Fl this weekend. I am taking the I10 from Phoenix to baton Rouge...pick up I12 til it meets back up with the I10 in North Slidell, continuing on I10 until I get into the panhandle...there I have a choice between I19 the scenic route (shorter) or I 75 (faster) with a 50 mile difference between the 2 route,,but only 10 minutes estimated travel time...it may well depend on when I get to that point..how tired I am...there is still about 5 hours from that point to my parents home...
so far the weather channel is saying fair weather all the way!!

OK Mark. No snow on I 10 till you get there.
Interstate 75 is pretty boring, I would take the alternate route just to see what's along the way.
I was going from Tallahassee to Melbourne and I took 75 down as far as Ocala and cut across there so I could visit with Carlene. Very worthwhile!
